Then luckily, I had chance with artisans of various materials such as bronze, printmaking, and ceramics, and had the good fortune to deal with various physical properties. As I continued my artwork and looked at the result, I could not erase the feeling that I am an Asian and living in Italy as a foreigner. Accepting this without rejecting it, I have been trying to find a natural harmony between Italian aesthetic elements and Korean spiritual parts without confrontation.\u00a0 My artwork are the traces of externally discovered objects, people, master\u2019s skills and me, my nature, and memories of the environment I grew up constantly meeting, changing, and expressing. In particular, rather than trying to make something, abstract shapes and traces that appear when I erase the shape of a sculpture with a sanding machine or when I made the silhouette of a space imprinted on a transparent cloth with another silhouette are often developed into my artwork. Only the once full space that has been emptied, and only the empty space seems to be able to meet other spaces. And it becomes an opportunity to discover something new.
